Itinerary
Your journey begins as you arrive in Kigali, where you’ll be greeted and transferred to Eagle View for your overnight stay. Nestled in a peaceful setting, Eagle View offers breathtaking views of Kigali and the surrounding hills — a perfect introduction to Rwanda’s natural beauty. Relax and unwind after your flight, as you prepare for the adventures ahead.
After breakfast, we head to Akagera National Park, Rwanda’s premier savannah park, known for its rich wildlife and scenic landscapes. Akagera offers a stunning contrast to Rwanda’s mountainous terrain, with its diverse wildlife including elephants, giraffes, zebras, and an array of bird species. Enjoy a sunset boat ride on Lake Ihema, where you’ll have the chance to spot hippos, crocodiles, and various waterbirds. The park is a tranquil escape with stunning views, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploration.

Start your day with a full game drive through the park, where you’ll venture deep into Akagera’s diverse ecosystems — from savannah to wetlands. Encounter the majestic wildlife in their natural habitat, with opportunities to see lions, buffaloes, and the elusive leopard. This immersive experience will leave you with lasting memories of Rwanda’s wildlife.
After your game drive, we will drive back to Kigali, where you’ll check in at the luxurious Radisson Blu. Relax and enjoy Kigali’s vibrant city atmosphere.
After breakfast, we transfer to Volcanoes National Park, home to the famous Mountain Gorillas. The journey itself offers breathtaking views of the Virunga mountains, setting the stage for the days ahead. On arrival, we’ll check in to Kinigi Cottage for an overnight stay.
Later in the day, take on the Bisoke Volcano hike — a thrilling trek that leads to the crater lake at the summit of Mount Bisoke. The hike offers panoramic views of the surrounding volcanoes and lush landscapes, and the reward is a serene crater lake surrounded by mist-covered peaks.
Today is dedicated to exploring the biodiversity of Volcanoes National Park. After breakfast, embark on a golden monkey trekking adventure, where you’ll have the chance to encounter Rwanda’s playful and endangered golden monkeys in their natural habitat.
In the afternoon, visit Iby'Iwacu Cultural Village, a traditional Rwandan village where you can learn about the culture, history, and lifestyle of the local people. Participate in community activities like drumming, dance, and crafts, offering an enriching experience of Rwanda’s cultural richness.
After a day of wildlife and cultural exploration, we head back to Kigali for the evening.
End your trip with a tour of Rwanda’s vibrant capital
Before your departure, enjoy a Kigali city tour to explore the heart of Rwanda. Visit landmarks like the Kigali Genocide Memorial, Inema Arts Center, and Kandt House Museum, which showcase Rwanda’s inspiring journey of renewal and creativity.
After the tour, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your departure, leaving with unforgettable memories of Rwanda’s natural beauty, wildlife, and culture.
