Day 01 :

Gorilla Trekking & Cultural Experience – Volcanoes National Park

Early in the morning, you will be picked up from your accommodation in Kigali. Then, enjoy a scenic drive north to Volcanoes National Park. Upon arrival at Kinigi Park Headquarters, park rangers will brief you on gorilla trekking rules and safety.

After the briefing, begin your mountain gorilla trek in Rwanda. The hike can last anywhere from 30 minutes to several hours. However, the reward is an unforgettable encounter with a gorilla family in their natural habitat. After the trek, enjoy lunch nearby.

Later in the afternoon, visit Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village. Here, you will experience traditional dances, local stories, and the community's way of life. Finally, you will be dropped off in Musanze for rest.

Day 02 :

Golden Monkey Trek & Scenic Transfer to Nyungwe

After breakfast, return to Volcanoes National Park for Golden Monkey trekking. Walk through bamboo forests as you observe these rare and playful primates in their natural habitat. Following the trek, enjoy lunch in Musanze before beginning a scenic drive south toward Nyungwe Forest National Park. The journey passes lush countryside, rolling hills, and tea plantations along the Congo–Nile Divide. Arrival is in the evening, with drop-off near Nyungwe in preparation for the next day’s adventure.

Day 03 :

Chimpanzee Trekking & Optional Canopy Walk –Nyungwe Forest

An early morning pickup takes you into Nyungwe Forest National Park for a briefing before entering one of Africa’s oldest montane rainforests. Begin your guided chimpanzee trek, following their calls as they move energetically through the forest canopy. After the trek, you may opt for the famous Nyungwe Canopy Walk, a suspended bridge offering breathtaking views above the rainforest. Enjoy lunch before beginning your return journey to Kigali, arriving in the late afternoon or early evening for drop-off at your accommodation or the airport.
