This tour takes you to Rwanda’s magnificent mountain gorillas, chimpanzees, a variety of monkey species, the savannah park of the Big 5, birds, and other wildlife.

Day 1: Transfer to Nyungwe National Park

  • Pick-up: Your journey begins with a 4.5-hour drive to Nyungwe National Park, where you’ll enjoy scenic views of Rwanda’s rolling hills.
  • Activities upon arrival: Depending on your arrival time, choose between a canopy walk for a bird’s-eye view of the rainforest or visit the waterfalls within the park.
  • Overnight: Check in at Nyungwe Rainforest Resort, enjoy dinner, and unwind in the peaceful surroundings.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking Adventure

  • Early Start: Depart at 5 AM for a thrilling chimpanzee tracking experience. Track the chimps through the rainforest and spend one hour observing their playful and intelligent behavior.
  • Lunch: Enjoy a break before continuing your adventure.
  • Afternoon: Transfer to Akagera National Park, known for its expansive savannah and diverse wildlife.
  • Sunset Boat Ride: Relax with a boat ride on Ihema Lake, where you’ll spot hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and a variety of birdlife.
