3-Day Bwindi Gorilla & Wildlife Adventure

Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest – The Journey Begins
Description:
Depart early from Entebbe/Kampala and head southwest toward Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, the home of the endangered mountain gorillas. It’s a scenic journey through rural Uganda, local villages, and the stunning Kigezi Highlands — often called the "Switzerland of Africa."
You’ll arrive at your lodge near Bwindi by evening. Relax, enjoy dinner, and prepare for the life-changing experience that awaits the next day.
Accommodation: Lodge near Bwindi (mid-range or luxury).

Wake up early for a briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers before heading into the misty forest to track a gorilla family. Trekking can take between 2–6 hours depending on where the gorillas are, but once you find them, you’ll have one full hour to observe them in their natural habitat — an emotional and unforgettable moment for most travelers.
Return to the lodge for a late lunch and relax or enjoy a community walk or optional visit to the Batwa (Pygmy) community.

After breakfast, depart Bwindi and drive back toward Entebbe. On the way, stop at Lake Mburo National Park for a short game drive to spot zebras, impalas, elands, warthogs, and more. Alternatively, if your base is closer to Queen Elizabeth NP, a morning game drive can be arranged there instead.
After the wildlife encounter, continue your journey to Entebbe or Kampala, marking the end of your compact but rich adventure.
